Product Prices

Product prices are displayed on each product page and during checkout.

Prices for customers in Japan generally include Japanese consumption tax.

Prices, taxes, and currencies for international customers may vary depending on the destination country, applicable taxes, and Shopify Market settings.

Additional Charges

Depending on your order and shipping destination, additional charges may include:

Payment Timing

Credit Card and Online Payments

Payment is processed at the time the order is placed.

The actual withdrawal date depends on your card issuer or payment provider.

Bank Transfer

If bank transfer is available, payment must be completed within 7 days of placing the order.

Orders may be cancelled if payment is not received within this period.

Shipping Schedule

For in-stock products, orders are generally dispatched within 2–5 business days after payment has been confirmed.

Made-to-order, custom-made, or altered products will be shipped according to the production time stated on the product page or in the order confirmation.

Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese public holidays, and year-end/New Year holidays.

Shipping may be delayed due to high order volume, exhibitions, weather conditions, natural disasters, customs procedures, international circumstances, or carrier-related issues.

Depending on the destination, parcel size, weight, and shipping conditions, we may use other trackable international carriers.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before shipment.

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

However, cancellation may not be possible once production or processing has begun for:

Made-to-order products
Altered items
Personalized products

Orders cannot be cancelled after shipment.

Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Return requests are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

Be unused and unworn
Be in its original condition
Have all original tags attached
Include the original packaging and accessories

Any other expenses related to returning the item

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please provide:

Your order number
Photos of the entire item
Close-up photos of the issue
Photos of the shipping box
Photos of the packaging materials
Photos of the shipping label (if available)

After reviewing the information, we will provide an appropriate solution, which may include repair, replacement, or a refund.

Because many of our products are one of a kind, replacement may not always be possible. In such cases, a refund will be provided.

Vintage Materials & Handmade Products

Many WATASI JAPAN products are handcrafted using authentic vintage Japanese kimono and traditional textiles.

The following characteristics are considered natural features of vintage or handmade products and are not defects:

Minor stains
Color variations
Weaving irregularities
Small thread knots
Natural signs of aging
Differences in pattern placement
Variations in texture, thickness, and sheen
Minor dimensional variations resulting from handcrafting

Each item is unique, and no two products are exactly alike.

Product pages may include actual product photographs, styling images, artistic images, or AI-generated images for presentation purposes.

The actual product specifications, colors, materials, dimensions, and included accessories are described in the product description and shown in the actual product photographs.
