"Kimono Grace White Flowers – Suō" features softly opening white flowers on a vintage kimono fabric in suō, a deep, reddish purple. A gentle dye gradation toward pale lavender at the hem gives the piece a look that combines dignified elegance with feminine tenderness.

The colour suō
Suō is one of Japan's traditional colours, a calm reddish purple originally dyed from the heartwood of the sappanwood tree. It has been prized as a noble colour since the Heian period.

Vintage kimono × modern elegance
Made from a genuine vintage kimono, this piece gives precious fabric handed down from the past a new life as a modern hijab and shawl.

The patterned vintage kimono fabric is carefully sewn to a light, ivory-coloured plain fabric and tailored into a single continuous rectangle.

This piece uses genuine vintage kimono fabric. Most traditional Japanese kimono fabrics are made of silk, and this vintage fabric is believed to contain silk, but because it is vintage, the exact fibre composition and blend ratio cannot be confirmed.

Slight individual variation, minor flaws and traces of age may be present. These are not defects but reflect the history and character of the original kimono, and are part of the beauty of vintage fabric.

The plain section uses a smooth, lightweight fabric with a soft hand, comfortable to wear all day.
