Care Instructions for Kimono Silk Products

はじめに：着物生地（シルク）の特性 / About silk

ヴィンテージ着物の生地は、シルクです。シルクにはもともと抗菌・防臭の作用があるため、着用後は洗わずに、風通しのよい日陰で陰干しするだけでも十分です。汚れたときや、シーズンの終わりに、ドライクリーニングに出していただく程度で十分です。ただし、水に弱い素材のため、洗う場合はドライクリーニングを強く推奨します。ポリエステルのサテン生地などを組み合わせた商品は、サテン部分も含めて、全体でお出しください。
The fabric of a vintage kimono is silk. Silk naturally has antibacterial and deodorizing properties, so after wearing it is enough to air it in a shaded, well-ventilated place without washing. Dry cleaning when it becomes soiled, or at the end of the season, is sufficient. Because silk is sensitive to water, dry cleaning is strongly recommended whenever you clean it. For items combined with polyester satin or other fabrics, please send the whole piece.

ご注意：ヴィンテージの着物生地は、染め・手描き・刺繍などが施されているものが多く、また、正確な繊維組成が分からない場合があります。水に濡れたり、強くこすったりすると、色落ち・色移りや、糸の傷みの原因になることがあるため、特にご注意ください。ご自宅での水洗いはおすすめしません。
Please note: Vintage kimono fabric is often dyed, hand-painted or embroidered, and its exact fiber composition may be unknown. Water or strong rubbing may cause color loss, color transfer or damage to the threads, so please take special care. We do not recommend washing at home.

1. 洗濯について / Washing

ドライクリーニングを強く推奨します。
Silk: Dry cleaning is strongly recommended.

やむを得ず家庭で手洗いする場合:

冷水（30℃以下）を使用

デリケート素材用の中性洗剤を使用

強く揉まず「押し洗い」や軽く振り洗いで洗う

漂白剤や蛍光剤入り洗剤は使用しない

他の衣類とは一緒に洗わない
If hand washing at home (only if necessary):

Use cold water (below 30°C / 86°F)

Use a mild detergent for delicate fabrics

Gently wash by pressing or swishing, never rub strongly

Do not use bleach or brightener detergents

Wash separately from other fabrics

2. 脱水・乾燥について / Drying

洗濯機での脱水は不可

タオルに挟んで水分を軽く吸い取る

風通しのよい日陰で平干しする

濡れたまま放置しない（色移り・カビの原因）
Do not spin-dry in a washing machine.
Place between towels and gently press to remove excess water.
Dry flat in the shade in a well-ventilated area.
Do not leave damp or wet to avoid color transfer or mildew.

3. アイロンがけ / Ironing

低温（シルク設定）でアイロンを使用

必ず当て布をする

蒸気を直接当てない

縫い目や刺繍部分に強い圧をかけない
Use a low temperature (silk mode).
Always use a pressing cloth.
Do not apply steam directly.
Avoid pressing strongly on seams or embroidery.

4. 保管方法 / Storage

湿気と直射日光を避ける

白布や不織布カバーに包んで保管

長期保管は時々風を通す

プラスチック袋での密封保管は不可
Store away from humidity and sunlight.
Wrap in white cotton cloth or non-woven bag.
Air occasionally during long-term storage.
Do not store in sealed plastic bags.

5. 使用時の注意 / Handling Precautions

汗や雨などで色にじみが起こる場合あり

バッグや硬い椅子との摩擦に注意

香水・ヘアスプレー・化学薬品が直接かからないように
Moisture such as sweat or rain may cause color bleeding.
Avoid friction with bags, belts, or rough surfaces.
Keep away from perfume, hairspray, and chemicals.
