One of the most distinctive features of this robe is its shortened kimono-style collar. Rather than extending all the way to the hem, the collar ends around the hip area, creating a subtle step in the front opening. This detail preserves the character of traditional Japanese dress while giving the robe a lighter, more contemporary silhouette.

The abbreviated collar also recalls the visual impression of a haneri, the decorative half-collar traditionally seen around the neckline of a kimono, adding an unmistakably Japanese nuance to the design.
